LEAD THE WAY 2015: "The Game of Life"

Welcome all!

My name is AL Washington. I am utilizing this blog, LEADTHEWAY2015, as a vehicle to document my victories, trials & tribulations on the path to achieving life's most important gifts of TRUE health & TRUE wealth. 


I chose the title "LEADTHEWAY" because it signifies who I am & what I believe in at heart, a LEADER! I believe that with regard to anything you choose to associate yourself with, if you do so with all your energy, you will be successfull beyond your wildest dreams! 


2015 signifies the year that I would like to look back on this initial blog post & evaluate the journey for all the successes as well as opportunities that I have experienced.


As a ten year veteran of the the pharma/biotech industry, I view myself as one of the luck ones... I was lucky enough to have achieved a 6-figure income and a great deal of corporate success by my mid-twenties but smart enough to stay true to myself, my upbringing and what I knew was truly most important in life to ensure that I remained my own captain of "this ship we call life."

Unlike many others, I did not allow myself to be overcome by all the perceived "nicities" that Corporate America would like you to believe define success & happiness. The company car, expense account, hotel points and corporate give-aways are great when you are the point-gaurd controlling the tempo of the game, but what happens 20 years from now when the game has advanced to the 3rd quarter & your company decides to draft the next "Al Washington" when YOU have yet to receive the lion's share of your contract???


This blog is dedicated to any and all people who desire to have the finer things in life WITHOUT having to ultimately sacrifice quality of life in return! I learned two important lessons at an early age; 1) without doing all you can to proactively maintain TRUE health, there is no such thing as "living life to the fullest" & 2) without pursuing TRUE wealth, we are all "pawns" in another person's master plan for life as opposed to being ruler of our own plan!

I challenge you to come along for the ride, but beware...This journey IS NOT for the weak at heart!
